These terms cover the points that members of the Clinsightful Aesthetics research panel earn by taking part in studies, and their redemption as gift cards. The program is run by Actionable Research Inc., doing business as Clinsightful, a California company (“Clinsightful”, “we”, “us”). They form part of the Terms of Use; the Privacy Policy says what we keep and share.
1. Who can take part
- The program is open to members of the Clinsightful Aesthetics research panel who are dermatology and aesthetics professionals practicing in the United States and aged 18 or over.
- One account per person. Points belong to the account that earned them; they cannot be transferred, combined with another account, sold or exchanged for cash.
- Taking part in any study is your choice. Invitations go to members whose profile fits the study, so not every member is invited to every study.
2. Earning points
- Each invitation states the points the study pays. Points are credited to your balance when you complete the study, as soon as the completion is recorded.
- One point has a value of one US dollar (1 point = 1 USD) when redeemed.
- Your Rewards page shows your balance and every entry: points credited, gift cards, and any correction with its reason.
3. Redeeming points
- You redeem on your Rewards page, in whole points, from the minimum shown there (currently 5 points) up to your balance.
- Your email address must be confirmed. The gift card is delivered to that address only.
- When you confirm, we take the points from your balance and place an order with Tremendous for the same number of US dollars. Tremendous emails you a link where you choose your gift card from the retailers it offers.
- If an order fails, the points return to your balance.
- One redemption can be in progress at a time.
4. When points are to be redeemed
- Points do not expire while your account is open.
- Points earned in a calendar year must be converted to gift cards by January 5 of the following year. When you have points from more than one year, the oldest are used first.
- Once your balance reaches 600 points (600 US dollars), it must be converted to gift cards.
- If points are not converted in time, we convert them for you into an Amazon gift card of the same value, delivered to your confirmed email address.
- Your Rewards page shows which of your points are due, and by when.
5. Gift cards
Gift cards are issued through Tremendous. Once you have chosen one, it is governed by Tremendous’s terms and those of the retailer, including any time limits for claiming or using it. Please claim and use your gift card within the time they allow.
6. Fair play
- We may withhold or reverse points, and pause redemption on an account, for duplicate accounts, false profile information, or answers given in bad faith. A person at Clinsightful Aesthetics reviews each case before we act.
- Points withheld or reversed for these reasons are forfeited.
7. Closing your account
You may redeem your balance before you close your account. If an account is removed for the reasons in section 6, its balance is forfeited.
8. Taxes
Rewards may be taxable income, and you are responsible for any taxes on them. Where the law requires us to report rewards, we may ask you for tax information, such as a Form W-9.
9. Changes to these terms
When the program changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. For a material change we will tell members in the service or by email before it takes effect.
